الرحلات الاستكشافية الفرنسية في ليبيا خلال الفترة ما بين 1847 – 1910

الملخص

منذ مطلع القرن الثامن عشر كانت الأراضي الليبية هدفًا لحركة استكشافية أوروبية نشطة، ازداد زخمها مع مطلع القرن التاسع عشر، كانت هذه الرحلات تنطلق من دوافع متعددة (سياسية – اقتصادية – علمية – دينية)، ولم تخلُ أيضا من تنافس بين البلدان الأوروبية، كما إن الرحالة الأوروبيين قد واجهوا الكثير من الصعوبات أثناء إقامتهم وتنقلهم عبر الأراضي الليبية. وقد كان للرحالة الفرنسيين مشاركة مميزة في هذه الحركة الاستكشافية، خاصة خلال الفترة ما بين 1847 – 1910، وقد تركزت جهود هؤلاء الرحالة بشكل أساسي في جنوب غرب ليبيا؛ وذلك وفقاً لمصالح بلادهم السياسية والاقتصادية.

Abstract

Since the beginning of the eighteenth century, the Libyan lands have been the target of an active European exploratory movement, the momentum of which increased with the beginning of the nineteenth century. These trips were launched from multiple motives (political – economic – scientific – religious), and were also not without competition between European countries. European travelers faced many difficulties during their stay and movement through Libyan lands. French travelers had a distinguished participation in this exploratory movement, especially during the period between 1847 – 1910. The efforts of these travelers were mainly focused in southwestern Libya. This is according to their country’s political and economic interests.
