Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) and the level of customer satisfaction in selected tourism institutions in Susa, Libya, providing an empirical assessment of quality management practices and customer satisfaction within the Libyan tourism context. A descriptive-analytical research design was adopted, and data were collected using two independent structured questionnaires. The first questionnaire targeted employees and managers to assess the level of TQM implementation, while the second targeted customers to evaluate their level of satisfaction with the services provided. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
The findings revealed a high level of Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation, with an overall mean score of 3.59. Customer satisfaction was also found to be high, with an overall mean score of 3.58, indicating that both variables were evaluated positively within the surveyed tourism institutions. Reliability analysis further demonstrated a high level of internal consistency for the research instruments, supporting the credibility and reliability of the study findings.
The study concludes that tourism institutions should continue strengthening Total Quality Management practices, enhance employee training programs, and adopt regular customer satisfaction assessment mechanisms to support continuous service improvement and strengthen the competitiveness of tourism institutions in Libya.
